PHOTO BOOK COVER LAY-OUT OPTIONS

 

Have a look at these awesome ideas for the cover of your photo book. Keep in mind that the RIGHT hand side of the example image is the FRONT cover and the LEFT hand side of the image is the BACK cover.

 

If you have specific ideas about your front cover please let your professional designer know as we would love to hear your ideas and help you realise them. Maybe you know which photo or photos you want to use on the cover, or you have already thought about a title for your photo book. Also specific colours you want to use, for the text or the background, or you might even have a favourite font you want us to use.

 

We have given you 6 cover lay-out options depending if you want a landscape oriented or square photo book. Combinations of lay-outs are also possible, as is a completely custom cover. Make sure you mention your choice if you have a preference.

Landscape photo book cover lay-out options:

  • large photo with title and three photos on the back cover large photo with title and three photos on the back cover
  • large photo with title and two photos on the back cover large photo with title and two photos on the back cover
  • large photo with title and four photos on the back cover large photo with title and four photos on the back cover
  • large photo covering the spine and overlapping onto back cover with two more photos on the back cover large photo covering the spine and overlapping onto back cover with two more photos on the back cover

  • Cover 1
    Front cover - One landscape image with title underneath.
    Back cover - Three square images, allowing both landscape and portrait images to be used for these three images.

    The designer has made use of borders (in grey) around all photos and the back cover images also use a drop shadow to make them float on the page.

 

  • Cover 2
    Front cover - One square image with title next to it.
    Back cover - Two portrait images.

    The designer has used drop shadows on the two images on the back cover.

 

  • Cover 3
    Front cover - One landscape image with title underneath.
    Back cover - Four landscape images.

    Again borders have been used on all photos, this time with a very small vignette in the same colour, making the border softer on the inside.

 

  • Cover 4
    Front cover - One landscape image wrapping around the spine and part of the back with title on the photo.
    Back cover - Two portrait images.

    Borders have been used on the two photos on the back cover.

 

  • Cover 5
    Front and back cover - One landscape image wrapping around the entire photo book with title on the photo.

 

  • Cover 6
    Front cover - Two images, a main landscape image with title underneath and the second smaller square image on an angle on top of the main image.
    Back cover - Three square images.

    Borders have been used and a grey background has been added to the front cover, the spine and the back cover. The second image on the front cover has a polaroid frame applied to it.

    Front cover - One portrait image with title underneath.
    Back cover - Three portrait images.

    Again borders have been used on all photos, this time with a very small vignette in the same colour, making the border softer on the inside.

    Back cover - Three portrait images.

    Borders have been used on the three photos on the back cover.
