ORAFOL expands its presence in Australia

ORAFOL Australia has moved to a new Sydney location and has beefed up its team to support the growth that it is facing.

The manufacturer of self-adhesive graphic films, reflective materials and adhesive tape systems recently relocated its NSW facility to a larger corporate office and distribution facility in Erskine Park, NSW.

The company said the 4000m² purpose-built office is in line with its dynamic growth, and customers will be able to experience its new facilities, which will include a new showroom and a training facility, in 2021.

The new facility also has the full range of its graphics, reflective and adhesive tape products, along with its new range of Vorteil products distributed by ORAFOL.

The company also has distribution centres in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

“As ORAFOL Australia has grown significantly over the last year, it became necessary for us to move our existing business from Eastern Creek, NSW to a larger 4000+ sqm facility where among other initiatives we will be launching a hub and spoke distribution system,” ORAFOL Australia managing director Alex McClelland said.

“This enables us to provide best practice customer service, increase our order fulfilment rates and to have a robust inventory management program to service our client base across all divisions and regions including graphics innovations, reflective solutions and industrial tapes.

“Part of the rationale in the move to larger premises in NSW is to be able to establish a formal product and application training area. The team are currently working on this and will launch early next year.

“This will be an area where our product specialists will be able to provide our customer base with application training on our wide range of products, including vehicle wrapping, window applications, interior design applications, reflective solutions and industrial tapes. We will also have a significant display area showcasing our product range.”

As part of its strategic plan to grow the business and increase brand awareness, the company has also hired a number of staff into key positions in the company.

Jay Leonard has been appointed as sales and marketing director of its graphic innovations team, while Alistair Rathbone will serve as business development lead of fleet and transport solutions within graphic innovations in NSW.

Scott Daught has been named senior BDM of graphic innovations for QLD, while Brock Reddacliff is BDM of graphic innovations, also for QLD.

Mark Jansen has been appointed BDM of graphic innovations for VIC, while Rebecca Mangion will serve as national marketing manager and Clicia Carrijo as national customer services manager.

“We have taken the time during the crisis to examine our business and restate our strategies in line with the post COVID business climate. I am confident we will see a strong business landscape in 2021,” McClelland said.

“Our long-term plan is to be an employer of choice, and our HR team are working hard to promote this internally and externally.”

According to McClelland, the company is also in the process of implementing several software programs and platforms to improve its value proposition across the entire business. In addition, in early 2021, it also intends to relocate its SA and WA premises to larger facilities to accommodate growing business in these regions.

“We are currently engaged in several high-profile projects and have seen a solid increase in our general business. We have taken the time during the crisis to examine our business and restate our strategies in line with the post COVID business climate. I am confident we will see a strong business landscape in 2021,” he added.
